Nathula Pass is located 54 km east of Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. The only way to reach the pass is through a drive from Gangtok. Only SUV vehicles are allowed to be driven to Nathula Pass.

Situated at an elevation of 14,450 ft, NathuLa is the main corridor connecting India and Tibet. Passing through the serene Tsomgo Lake, it is one of the most popular tourist spots in Gangtok. It has one of the highest motorized roads in the world that makes it an excellent adventure spot. The height of the Nathula Pass is 4310 meters. Also, entry to this area is limited and one must be permitted to enter NathuLa from the zoning office. You‘re going to be overwhelmed at the beauty of this place.

Tourist attractions at Nathula Pass

1. Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir

There is a shrine built in the memory of Baba Harbhajan Singh who was Indian army personel. The temple has a fascinating history attached to it and is a popular sightseeing spot in Sikkim.

2. Mera Bharat Mahan

This hillside is located near the Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir which has the “Mera Bharat Mahan” words written on it. You will come across a huge patriotic rush here.

3.Tsomgo Lake

Popularly known as the Changu Lake, this location offers extremely idyllic scenery and is a delight for every traveller . The lake’s colours change according to the season and is usually frozen during the winters. This is a famous destination included in many north east tour packages.

4. Mandakini Waterfalls
